What is GLOBALGAP?

GLOBALGAP is a program and a global reference to the Good Agricultural Practices. The principles of the GLOBALGAP program are based on the following concepts:

• Food Safety: derived from application of general principles of HACCP
• Environmental protection: according to standards which minimize the negative environmental impact of agriculture
• Health, security and work welfare: under health and farm work security criteria and a responsible view of social issues
• - Animal welfare (if it corresponds): following animal welfare criteria in farms

Each day, consumers search more information about the origin and process of the products they buy. ARGENCERT certification guarantees the buyer that the product corresponds to what he/she is looking for and for our clients, the certainty of recognition and access to international markets.

¿How to get GLOBALGAP certification?

The following steps must be accomplished:

• Read and understand GLOBALGAP standards (General Regulation, Control Points and Compliance Criteria)
• Implement the standards in the production system (according to the document Control Points and Compliance Criteria)
• Asking ARGENCERT for the certification service and completing GLOBALGAP certification form.
• Signing GLOBALGAP certification agreement committing to comply with GLOBALGAP standards. An inspection schedule and certification fee is set.
• Conducting a “self-inspection” of the system. Receiving ARGENCERT´s inspection. The operator gets a certificate in conformity with GLOBALGAP standards.
